EVOLUTION OF WIMBLEDON TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS

Wimbledon is one of the oldest tennis Sports game in the world and among the most widely liked in Europe countries; Initially it was called lawn tennis which was First held in 1877. The term tennis was derived from the French word tenez which means to receive, There were French players who played handball game called jeu de paume which is a (game of the palm)  usually called real tennis. In 12 century kings and nobles they liked to play game of the palm whereby they use their hands instead of Net sticks.

As we know In evolution of anything people lose their lives, Like in  tennis we have lost many great people. King Louis X of France (1314-16) and Charles VIII of France (1483-98) lost their lives as a result of Tennis. It is said that Louis X died of a chill immediately after playing a tough game of jeu de paume at Château de Vincennes. Charles VIII died after he got an accident when his head  bang on a  piece of wood over the door which led to his tennis court.

                                                       

 

In Between 1877 and 1900 tennis advanced from local game into an international sport whereby recently this game a lot of fans. Today, the large part of the world is happy to the work of the Long Term Plan, Wimbledon is widely regarded as the finest stage in world tennis. Everyone can see the success of Wimbledon in the world as everytime many people rise and become proffesional tennis players.

Novak Djokovic, Simona Halep, Hsieh Su-wei and Serena Jameka Williams are professional tennis players who hail from different Countries including Serbia, Roman, Taiwan and America as mentioned in order. 

Novak Djokovic – A Serbian professional tennis player who is currently(2020) ranked world No. 1 in men's singles tennis by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP).

Simona Halep - Romanian professional tennis player. She has been ranked world No. 1 in singles twice between 2017 and 2019. In total, she has been No. 1 for 64 weeks, which ranks tenth in the history of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) rankings.

Hsieh Su-wei - Taiwanese professional tennis player who represents Chinese Taipei in international competition. Taiwan's most successful tennis player of all time.

 

Serena Jameka Williams - American professional tennis player born on September 26, 1981 and former world No. 1 in women's single tennis. She has won 23 Grand Slam singles titles, the most by any man or woman in the Open Era.
